you say buttons, we say but’uns… (thank you ms. busa for altering my enunciation of the word!)
i love the eucalyptus trees in northern california. even though these are not native to the area (from austrailia originally,) they are quite prominent. the smell will forever remind me of hikes in muir woods and tilden park.
one of my favorite things to do while in a eucalyptus forest is to collect “buttons”. these seed pods look so much like buttons that i want to sew them right on to my coat!!!
