the recovery process is moving right along. the glue is starting to wear off around the stitches. new skin is forming in the places it should. the lovely shades of purple and blue and green and yellow in the bruised skin is slowly fading… and in about another week and a half i will be returning to work, a brand new scissorbot. with a couple new parts and a new lease on life.
i am slowly starting to ease back into my skin. becoming one with my body again.
today i took a nice long walk for the first time since the surgery. it felt good to be out in the fresh air. enjoying the new blossoms on the trees (earliest spring ever? seriously, the cherry and plum trees are blossoming and it’s not even february!) but happy to see the spring time peeking out between all the naked oaks and barren maple trees. all those twiggy trees were starting to get me down.
it’s a great time to be coming out of hibernation. it’s a great time to be alive.
