this feather found me when i was lost
and i desperately asked for a sign from “god”

this feather gave me flight just when i wanted to escape
i needed to ask the gods if what i was doing was ok

i wanted to hear that i was on the right path
did the feather signify a potential wrath?

i think i ask this because i am afraid to tell
the way i really felt

i thought, perhaps, i fell for a reason
thought i was meant to fall in love this season

but when i added up the values of this equation
i could not calculate variables to save me

how much i was willing to lose in this game of chance?
is anyone listening? why do i even ask?

this is one of my favorite pics from my visit to japan. the irony is fantastic! “hope” you don’t die from this product!!

it’s frustrating to see something you once worked hard building, burn down to the ground. whether it be a friendship you spent years bonding over, a band you created epic music with, or the career you put your heart and soul into; when it all comes crumbling down like a burnt up log, it can be really hard to sit back and watch.

i imagine this is what mother nature feels when she falls witness to a forest fire. all of her hard work, blood sweat and tears… all of it, up in smoke!

it’s bicycle film fest time here in sf and i was stoked to see “the cyclocross meeting” on the list. it was filmed partly in japan and just by watching the previews, i felt instantly transported back to that oh so foreign (to me) country. it’s such beautiful place to visit and feel very fortunate to have done so. here are a couple pics to reminisce.

whew! the pendulum finally swang in my technological direction and i figured out how to re-enter the photos that were recently deleted from my site. computer savvy? hardly! but upload pictures, yes i can…
